But this says "Bushiest Beaver"...
Work has had me snowed under this week.
I think I am going to give up on the Would You Rathers because they take me too long to type in. And, although I find them fun, I look at doing them as a major object of undesire.
So last Monday was:
Chuck, and as I already commented on below, I was not impressed at all this week. It had good elements, but was poorly acted, poorly directed, convoluted and lame. Some very Viper level quality action sequences (no that isn't a compliment) that seemed tacked on and poorly done. This had better of been a one week stumble because I am very much wanting this show to succeed (and like all the characters), but if this is how the show will be every week, they will be losing a viewer.
Everybody Hates Chris was kind of an 'eh' episode. They shoot their Chris Rock cameo load with that storyline? Pretty weak, although I did enjoy the white kid crapping his diaper.
Rules of Engagement made me want to blow my brains out. Heather Locklear??? Oh David no. I know he is banging that in real life, but I don't want her on my TV. She looks like a walking skeleton nowadays. 10 years ago I'm in there, but now she is just an annoying old lady (I mean she was pushing her luck on Scrubs awhile back). I appreciate more Putty and the mom from Grounded For Life, and Spade, but practically writing out the other couple AND adding Heather is not a net positive. It is a net negative.
I believe that was all for Monday.
Tuesday was:
Cavemen and Carpoolers. Cavemen was ok, but I was disappointed to have Nick Kroll as one of them. He is a pretty funny guy, but I don't think his style meshes with the rest of the show. Some parts I enjoyed, but for the most part the show was just trying too hard. I will chalk that up to it being a pilot. However, I will continue watching due to Nick Swardson. HE WAS AWESOME in this, and I thought THAT dynamic was how all of the show should be structured. Carpoolers...I mean, it was OK, but I doubt I will keep watching it. I also don't see this dumb HIGH CONCEPT show making it. It doesn't help how low level the production quality was. The script wasn't really all that great, and I'm puzzled as to how it even got made.
Life was AWESOME this week. An improvement over a solid beginning. Granted it did not have the faptastic scene of the chick in a wet t-shirt, but it did have a good storyline (for this type show) and a good slow progression of characters. I am still not sold on the intercut documentary stuff, but I like what I'm seeing, and will be there again. That chick is teh HAWT as well:

SPAAA LOOGE, and SHE is MY age? She looks much older than me. SHENANIGANS.
Wednesday had:
Pushing Daisies. It has been pretty much universally praised, and I will not be deviating from that. It was an unbelieveably good pilot. With a VERY Beetlejuice vibe to it. After the beginning I was a bit skeptical, but once they got to the present, I was sold. Definitely recommended.
Kitchen Nightmares. This is a fair show. Has a very TLC vibe to it. Could those people be MORE Jersey? Do people there actually think it is still 1987? Mind boggling. That fat dink should have gotten the boot, and if I was Ramsey my only advice would have been to have them all sterilized (maybe shot).
Thursday:
Not much on Thursdays. Earl was great. I enjoyed all the Randy stuff (I can never get enough Randy). No Catalina WEAK~! The addition of Craig T. Nelson as well as the "how Earl will get out of jail" storyline were great. I find it odd that they are taking such a detour from the original premise, but it doesn't feel like the usual show retoolings (that usually spell the end - Laverne and Shirley move to CA). The gay stuff was awesome. It had me questioning my own sexuality for a while (the wet T-shirt, the push-up, come ON). Great episode.
Ugly Betty. Was. Great. Seriously, best episode in a VERY long time. An example of all the reasons why I watch this show...but mostly the Amanda chick.
Ok, The Office was great. Much better than last week. Pam and Jim were way more in character, and the Ryan asks Pam out/Jim shutdown was AWE...I've used awesome a lot in this thread, but it was indeed awesome. Best part was a toss up between Toby's attempted C-block, and the CREED HAIR. Either way this was a great episode. I will say I found it a bit odd that the camera man was able to so effortlessly catch all that occurred as Michael and Dwight got out of the car after they crashed into the lake. A bit unrealistic, but they did also use some surveillance camera footage which tells me they are aware of that issue. Phylis, "oh, I couldn't see your hands." Good stuff.
Fridays:
Only losers watch TV on Fridays (*and there wasn't even a BWE this week*).
Saturday:
SNL was fair. You could tell Rogen really wanted to do good, and had a lot of input into the sketches. It wasn't really a home run though. Also, Chevy Chase *shakes head*. What is wrong with him? Why was he on there? And when he was on there, why was he not prepared? I feel bad for the guy; it is sad what he turned into. Just please go away and let people remember all three of your good movies and allow them to forget all the bad ones (allllllll of them).
Also all day Saturday and Sunday I have been watching the Leave it to Beaver marathon on TVLand. Most I've seen, but there are the odd ones I haven't. What is annoying though is that they have gotten off the time schedule. So, DVR records it from 3-3:30 but starts in the middle of one episode, and the next one gets cut off half way. It makes skipping the ones I've seen more difficult (cause I might cut off the first half of one I haven't). MTV2 does this when it was Beavis and Butthead marathons. Bugs me.
I had Wendy's for dinner last night. A triple cheese burger. It was DELICIOUS. Really, really good.
Really good.
